How do you make such detailed etchings?

Other etchings grind deeply into the surface of the glass, erasing any possibility of fine details and crunching the glass surface into tiny shards that leave a rough surface where it's been etched.

But run your finger over the etching you receive from us. You'll find the etching so delicate that the etched surface feels almost as smooth as polished glass.

That delicate etch is what gives you such detail.

Yet, delicate as it is, your etching is still permanent. Clean it, polish it as much as you like. We guarantee you will never get it to fade or wear away.

Do you do these etchings by hand or by machine?

A special accent for your home should be more than just something spit out of a machine. And with us, it is.

Our skilled artisans etch each piece individually; no etching is done by machine. Yet every etching of the artwork you choose is identical. Your etching will look exactly like what you see on the website.

What does all this mean for you? Etching each piece individually means that human eyes inspect your etching at least five times throughout the process of etching, assembly, and shipping. That ensures that you receive only the best.

 

Will my mirror reflect like a normal mirror?

Your mirror will sparkle as bright as any mirror you've ever seen. Our pictures show them reflecting a plain gray background to give you the clearest possible view of the design.

But hang your mirror on your wall and whatever is gray in the pictures will reflect whatever background is around it, just like any other mirror. Whatever is lighter colored in the pictures is etched and does not reflect.

 

Can you etch pictures or words for me on goblets or glasses?

Sorry. The etching technique we pioneered works only on flat surfaces.

 

Do I need any special process or cleanser to clean the glass?

To clean the etchings, use any liquid glass cleaner. The images are a permanent part of the glass and will last as long as the glass itself.

 

Can you sell me the stencils that you use so I can etch your pictures on my own?

Sorry. We use a revolutionary technique that calls for a type of pattern that is incompatible with any traditional etching process. Therefore our patterns would be of no use to anyone but us.
